Elvis Rankin Completes Back to Back Road Course Championships
(Las Vegas NV-February 10, 2019) Evergreen Colorado’s Elvis Rankin won his second Bandolero Bandit Championship in the US Legends West Silver State Road Course Series at theLas Vegas Motor Speedway. Driving the 54 Deguevara Motorsports Bandolero, Elvis garnered 698 of a possible 700 points. With 6 feature wins in the Bandit division - which included 2 overall feature wins - and 2 runner up finishes in the Bandit division, Elvis repeated as the Bandit Champion. Elvis’ teammate Joey Iast from Madera California was the Outlaw division series champion.
After receiving the series championship trophy, Elvis noted “This is a great series - I really enjoy racing the bando with Chuck, he always gives me a great car and has taught me a lot. Thanks to everyone - including a great group of fellow competitors - who made this such a good series. I also want to thank my sponsors, friends and fans for their support. I am looking forward to returning to race in the Outlaw division next year and having an opportunity to race in the Young Lion class in a legend car”.
